The 75th edition of the Spanish Grand Tour was planned to start in August 2020 in the Netherlands. And that would have been very special, because this cycle race has only ever started outside of Spain three times. We developed the commercial and marketing strategy, the house style, the promotional video and the website. We also spent a year and a half working hard with the various county councils and provinces, the business community and our colleagues at SportVibes to make a success of the event. Unfortunately, La Vuelta Holanda has had to give the start of the 2020 Spanish Grand Tour back to the Spanish organisation due to the COVID-19 crisis. Whether or not the 2022 tour will start in the Netherlands has yet to be decided.
